Other Side Editions, a non-profit press dedicated to producing socially relevant & educational works of visual & literary arts, has received generous support from Queensborough Community College Art Gallery under the leadership of Dr. Faustino Quintanilla, Executive Director, to produce & publish Act One: A Century in the Making.

A longtime champion of socially engaged art and global perspectives, Dr. Quintanilla has positioned the Gallery as a vital cultural institution that bridges academic inquiry with public impact. His commitment to fostering meaningful, cross-disciplinary projects aligns seamlessly with the mission of Act One, and his early support has played a critical role in bringing the book and exhibition to life.

As both a funder and the inaugural host of the accompanying exhibition, QCC Art Gallery is helping to establish the project’s foundation and future. This support not only enables the production of the book itself but also helps ensure the accessibility and reach of its visual and intellectual content, extending the impact of Act One far beyond its printed form and into public spaces where dialogue and education can thrive.
